Football Federation of Armenia and Russian Football Union reached an agreement on playing a friendly match on March 5 at Kuban stadium, in Krasnodar, Russia. This will be the 5th match between these teams. The national teams of two countries first met in Euro-2000 qualification, where Russia won both matches, 3:0 in Yerevan and 2:0 in Moscow. Euro-2012 quaification round matches between these teams in Yerevan ended in a draw, while Russians beat Armenia 3:1 in Saint-Petersburg. Armenia will also play a friendly against Germany on June 6 in Mainz.
