Armenian national team defender Varazdat Haroyan will continue his career in Cádiz CF. Haroyan is the second Armenian player after Aras Ozbiliz to play in any team from La Liga. In the interview to the FFA official site Haroyan spoke about the details of his transfer, the role of Joaquin Caparros and expectations from his new team.
“After the last matches of Armenian national team Joaquin Caparros asked me, whether I would like to play in Spanis La Liga. My answer was – yes, of course. He said, that he would help me with this. His role in my transfer to Cádiz CF is crucial. It was due to him that Cádiz CF got to know about me. They called me after that and offered a contract.
I am grateful to Joaquin Caparros and all the people, who helped me with this transfer. I would like to thank FC Astana as well. They understood how important this step was for my career. They didn’t make obstacles for me, though they didn’t want to lose a player from startin lineup.
For now all my thoughs are wich FC Astana, because the team is competing for champon’s title and hasn’t lost even a game after the first round.
After getting the news about my possible transfer I started to follow them. I am very glad to become a part of them. I have always dreamed and believed that I will play in one of the Top leagues one day."
