Armenia-Luxembourg friendly match took place at George Pompidou stadium, in Valence, France. The match ended in a draw, 1:1.
The match kicked off with the symbolic first touch by mayor of Valence, Alain Maurice. Armenia had the possession during the first half, though Luxembourg was trying to organize dangerous counter-attacks. One of them ended with the goal scored by Mario Mutsh.
Our players were trying to equalize quickly, but all the attempts were not successful enough until the 42nd minute. Marcos crossed from the left flank and Edgar Manucharyan headed the ball to the net.
The second half was similar to the first one. Armenia attacking most of the time, and Luxembourg defending with all team. On the 61st minute Norayr Aslanyan had a chance to score with his first touch of the game, but hit the ball wide. Luxembourg also had two chances to score, but didn`t succeed. The first shot went far from the goal and the second one saved by Roman Berezovsky. Despite the efforts from both sides the match ended in a draw, 1:1.
