Armenian Supercup to be awarded to FC Pyunik

Armenian Supercup match, that is played between the Armenian Premier League champion and the Armenian Cup winner, is usually held in September.

Before the start of the 2022/2023 season, the SC Noravank ceased to exist.

On September 24, 2022 the Armenian National team held the UEFA Nations League match, competing with the National team of Ukraine. Therefore, holding the Supercup match on that day was impossible.

The schedule of FC Pyunik was too tight because of the European Cup appearances, which made it impossible to hold the Supercup match in autumn.

Taking into account the above-mentioned circumstances, as well as based on the paragraph 6.09 of the FFA Professional Football Competitions Regulations, the FFA made a special decision. not to hold the Supercup match in 2022 and award the prize to FC Pyunik.

The Supercup named after Hakob Tonoyan will be awarded to FC Pyunik before the Fastex Premier League match between FC Van and FC Pyunik on February 24.
