The fifth edition of the Unity EURO Cup took place on October 15 at the Italian Football Federation’s Technical Centre in Coverciano, Italy. A record 22 teams participated in the tournament.

Armenia’s refugee team also took part in the competition. In the league phase, Mariam Stepanyan’s team lost 3–0 to Malta, drew 1–1 with Italy, and then scored three unanswered goals against the Czech Republic.

As a result, Armenia finished among the top 12 teams and advanced to the knockout stage. However, the team lost 2–1 to Greece in the playoffs, bringing its campaign to an end.

Armenia has been participating in the Unity EURO Cup since 2023. Last year, the team finished as runners-up, losing to Finland on penalties in the final.

Organized through a partnership between UEFA and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the tournament aims to promote social inclusion through football by bringing together refugees and members of their host communities.
