FFA club licensing committee holds session

Licensing system 23.05.2022 16:57

On May 23, a session of the FFA Club Licensing Committee was held.

As previously reported, Noravank Sports Club had submitted a request to the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) seeking an exemption from the three-year rule. Based on this, during the May 2 session, the FFA Club Licensing Committee had decided to postpone the decision on Noravank's UEFA license application until a later session.

On May 17, the UEFA Club Financial Control Body reviewed Noravank SC’s request and decided not to initiate proceedings, concluding that the club does not meet the requirements of Article 12 of the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations (2018 edition).

In light of this decision, during today’s session, the FFA Club Licensing Committee determined that Noravank SC LLC does not meet the requirements of Article 11.02 of the FFA Club Licensing Regulations and therefore is not eligible to be considered a candidate for a UEFA license.

As a result, based on the decisions of both the UEFA Club Financial Control Body and the FFA Club Licensing Committee, Armenia will be represented by the following four clubs in the 2022/23 UEFA club competitions:

UEFA Champions League – 1st Qualifying Round:
Club that finished 1st in the 2021/22 VBET Armenian Premier League

UEFA Europa Conference League – 2nd Qualifying Round:
Club that finished 2nd in the 2021/22 Premier League

UEFA Europa Conference League – 1st Qualifying Round:
