Seminar-meeting held with FFA club licensing and financial officers

18.01.2021 15:35

On January 26, a seminar-meeting organized by the FFA Licensing Department was held at the FFA headquarters with the participation of licensing and financial officers of clubs applying for National and UEFA licenses. The seminar was led by Vahan Berakchyan, Head of the FFA Licensing Department.

On December 25, 2020, the annual programmatic statement of FFA President Armen Melikbekyan was published, officially launching the licensing season. The National licenses granted to clubs during the season will serve as the basis, and, in case of obtaining the necessary sporting qualification, will entitle them to participate in the VBET Armenian Premier League 2021/2022 season and UEFA's official club competitions in the same season.

Twelve clubs have submitted applications for participation in the 2021/2022 licensing season, including the First League clubs West Armenia, Sevan, and Noravank.

During the seminar-meeting, club representatives were introduced to all the changes in licensing criteria compared to the previous season. They were also briefed on the requirements they must meet by submitting the appropriate non-financial documentation packages by March. Based on these packages, on March 26 of this year, the FFA Club Licensing Committee will review the issue of granting National licenses to the candidate clubs. The session of the FFA Club Licensing Committee regarding UEFA licenses will be held on April 28 of this year.
