Historic event: Armenia and Georgia will host the FIFA Youth World Cup

Armenia and Georgia will jointly host the 2029 FIFA Youth World Championship.
 

Earlier today, a FIFA Executive Committee meeting was held in Vancouver, Canada, during which the joint bid submitted by Armenia and Georgia was selected as the winning proposal to host the tournament.
 

This is an unprecedented achievement for Armenian football. For the first time, our country will host a major international football tournament of this scale, reflecting the great trust of the international football community.
 

This is an invaluable gift to Armenian fans, supporters of Armenian football, and, of course, to young footballers, who will have the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of a World Cup on home soil and dream of great victories.
 

This is a victory for all of us. Welcome to the World Championship, welcome to Armenia and Georgia. Let us prepare together to host the world’s strongest youth teams.
