8 clubs granted the right to participate in the 2025/2026 Armenian First League season
On May 30, the Licensing Committee for Clubs of the Football Federation of Armenia (First Instance Body) held a regular meeting regarding the licensing of clubs for the Armenian First League Championship.
During the session, the licensing document packages of 9 candidate clubs were reviewed. These clubs had applied for a First League license: “Andranik FC” NGO, “Bentonit FC” NGO, “Lernayin Artsakh FC” LLC, “Hayk FC” SA NGO, “SA Mika” NGO, “Nikarm FC” LLC, “Olympia FC” NGO, “Ararati Araks FC” NGO, and “Sardarapat FC” NGO.
The Licensing Committee made a unanimous decision to grant First League licenses to 8 of the applicant clubs: “Andranik FC” NGO, “Bentonit FC” NGO, “Lernayin Artsakh FC” LLC, “Hayk FC” SA NGO, “SA Mika” NGO, “Nikarm FC” LLC, “Olympia FC” NGO, and “Sardarapat FC” NGO. These licenses grant them the right to participate in the 2025/2026 Armenian First League Championship.
The committee decided to deny the application of “Ararati Araks FC”, on the grounds that the club did not meet the sporting criteria required for First League licensing, specifically failing to comply with Article 17 of the 2025 edition of the Armenian First League Licensing Regulations, which requires clubs to have a minimum number of youth teams across specific age groups.
The club has the right to appeal the decision of the FFA Licensing Committee (First Instance Body) within 5 working days, following the established procedure by applying to the Appeals Committee of the FFA Club Licensing System (Appeals Body).
Out of the applicant clubs, two – “Dovegh FC” NGO and “Lori-Vanadzor FC” NGO – did not submit any documentation, and therefore their licensing applications were not considered.
