Yegishe Melikyan and Karlen Hovhannisyan hold pre-match press conference

Ahead of the Cyprus–Armenia match in Group C2 of the UEFA Nations League, Armenia national team head coach Yegishe Melikyan and midfielder Karlen Hovhannisyan held a pre-match press conference.

The national team head coach noted that a great deal of work—both individual and psychological—had been done following the defeat to Montenegro: “I saw the sadness of our fans. Know that we felt it ten times more, but we are professionals, and we have to work on ourselves psychologically and fight in the upcoming match.”

According to Karlen Hovhannisyan, playing three matches in eight days is difficult, but the national team is physically ready and will undoubtedly fight for the victory: “Our mindset is combative; we will fight for the win. The team is ready, and there are very good players in the squad. I myself feel that our team has a very bright future.”
