The Deputy Chief of Football department of the FFA participated in Women in Football Leadership Programme in Zurich

The Deputy Chief of Football department of the FFA Amalya Grigoryan became the first representative of the FFA who participated in the joint program of UEFA, FIFA, and IMD business school in the FIFA Headquarters.

It is the 7th consecutive year that UEFA, FIFA, and IMD business school organize a training program which can be attended by women working in all of 211 FIFA member associations. Overall, 12 members are chosen from UEFA member associations, and 12 members from the rest of FIFA associations. Amalya Grigoryan became one of 24 women who, despite the high competition, were included as a member of the program. The work experience of many years, as well as her high position as a female official in management sphere were taken into account. “The aim of “Women in Football Leadership Programme” is to give an opportunity to women working in football management to improve their leadership and management skills.”

“I feel a great responsibility to get the opportunity to participate in “Women in Football Leadership Programme”. For me it’s a big honor to be the first representative in history of the Football Federation of Armenia that participated in such program. I’m happy that FFA gives an opportunity for women to be more active and to work more responsibly in organization of football. This program gave me the opportunity to strengthen my leadership abilities, become more skillful in management. By participating in this program I realized once again that Armenia goes forward with active steps towards equal opportunities for women and men. Women’s involvement in management sphere makes the organization’s work more comprehensive, increases productivity, and becomes one of the pledges to succeed. I know many women and girls who work for the benefit of Armenian football, I am going to do everything within my power for that women to become more demanded and appreciated”- said Amalya Grigoryan speaking with the official website of FFA.
