Joaquin Caparros announced the players' list for the upcoming friendlies

Five newcomers: Armenian National team head coach Joaquin Caparros announced the players' list for the upcoming friendlies against Croatia and Sweden.

BKMA goalkeeper Arman Nersesyan, FC Ararat-Armenia defenders Albert Khachumyan and Davit Terteryan, FC Alashkert midfielder David Davidyan and FC Urartu forward Karen Melkonyan are called up to the Armenian National team for the first time.

In an interview with the FFA official website, Joaquin Caparros spoke about the importance of the upcoming matches and commented on the selection of players. "The next two matches are very important. We will compete against such teams that are preparing themselves for the European Championship, for the official matches to be held in September. When the national team plays, there are no friendly matches. All games are important because we represent the nation և the country. This time, a number of main-team players are missing from the list. We know those players very well, we have high hopes for them, we value their role a lot, but this time we have decided to give them a chance to rest, and to see some young players at work. I think there can be no better opportunity for them. We invited the players who have performed well in the domestic league, and we want to test their abilities in the games against the strong teams of Croatia and Sweden. "
