Seminar-meeting held with FFA club licensing officials
On January 24, at the FFA office, a seminar-meeting was organized by the FFA Licensing Department with the participation of licensing and financial officers from candidate clubs applying for National, UEFA, and UEFA Women’s Champions League licenses. The seminar was conducted by Vahan Berakchyan, Head of the FFA Licensing Department.
On December 27, 2024, FFA President Armen Melikbekyan announced the annual program statement marking the start of the licensing season. The National licenses awarded to clubs during the season will serve as the basis and, upon meeting the sporting criteria, grant them the right to participate in the Fastex Armenian Premier League 2025/2026 season and UEFA club competitions during the same season.
For the 2025/2026 licensing season, 11 clubs have submitted applications, including Syunik FC, which participates in the Armenian First League.
Three clubs have applied for a UEFA Women’s Club Competition license.
During the seminar, club representatives were informed about all the changes compared to the previous season regarding licensing criteria. The representatives also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the requirements that must be met by submitting the relevant non-financial documentation packages by February 24. Based on these packages, on April 1 of this year, the FFA Club Licensing Committee will review the awarding of National licenses to candidate clubs. The session concerning UEFA licenses will be held on May 2 of this year.
