Unity Euro Cup. The Armenian team took the 5th position

Unity Euro Cup-2024  refugee tournament was held from October 9 to 10 in Nyon, Switzerland with Armenia among the 16 participating countries.

Our team was drawn into Group C alongside Slovenia, Latvia and Malta.

Armenian refugee team played his first match against Latvia and lost with a score of 1:2.

The next two matches were successful for our team. First we beat Malta with a score of 1:0, then we celebrated a victory over Slovenia with a score of 2:1. Thus, we ended 2nd in the group.

According to the tournament regulations, the 2nd placed teams in the groups had to compete against each other to determine their places from 5 to 8. Our opponent here was Group D second placed Spain. In this match our team was able to succeed with a score of 2:1.

According to the final calculation, the Armenian refugee team took the 5th place among 16 countries.
