Armenian Cup․ Avshar Ararat reach the round of 16

The 2026/27 Armenian Cup campaign has begun. In the preliminary round, Avshar Ararat defeated the reigning Armenian Amateur A League champions Kilikia 4:2 in Charentsavan.

John Lagbell scored twice for the winners, while Edgar Ghulinian and Khalia Hagagi Khalil Elnoubi scored once each. Rafael Movsisyan scored both of Kilikia’s goals.

Another preliminary-round match will be played on August 25, when Andranik will host Ejmiatsin, also in Charentsavan.
