Armenian Cup. Lernayin Artsakh and Mika reach the round of 16

In the preliminary round of the Armenian Cup, First League side Lernayin Artsakh scored five unanswered goals against EcoVille.

Vuthlarhi Wisdom Baloy scored twice, while Musa Malam Mohamed, Levon Aghékian and Suren Harutyunyan each found the net once. The victory saw Zaur Aramyan’s side advance to the round of 16.

Mika also secured a place in the next round after a dramatic encounter. The match against Bentonite ended 2:2 in regulation time in a goal-filled affair.

The teams exchanged one more goal each in extra time. In the penalty shootout, the Yerevan-based club’s players were more accurate, winning 4:3.

The final participant in the Round of 16 of the Armenian Cup will be determined on august 27.
