6 clubs granted UEFA Licenses for participation in VBET Armenian Premier League

On May 2, a regular session of the FFA Club Licensing Committee (First Instance Body) was held, during which the financial licensing documentation packages submitted by the following clubs were reviewed for the purpose of obtaining a UEFA License: Alashkert, Ararat, Ararat-Armenia, Urartu, Pyunik, Noah, and Noravank.

If these clubs achieve the necessary sporting qualification, the granted licenses will entitle them to participate in UEFA club competitions during the 2022/2023 season.

FFA Licensing Department experts conducted appropriate financial audits based on the submitted documents. The results were presented in detail by the Head of the Licensing Department and the financial expert.

Based on the conclusions and audit findings, the Licensing Committee made the following decision: UEFA Licenses were granted to 6 clubs: Alashkert, Ararat, Ararat-Armenia, Urartu, Pyunik, Noah.

The Committee unanimously decided not to grant a UEFA license to FC Shirak NGO, as the club failed to submit the required documents within the set deadlines.

Regarding Noravank LLC, although the FFA financial experts concluded that the club fully met the financial criteria, the Licensing Committee, based on a petition from the Head of the Licensing Department, ruled that Noravank is not eligible for a UEFA license. This is due to the club not meeting the "three-year rule" as stipulated in Article 11 of the FFA Club Licensing Regulations (2021 edition).

However, since the club has submitted a request to the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) for an exemption from the three-year requirement, the FFA Licensing Committee decided to postpone the decision on Noravank’s UEFA license until the next additional session.

UEFA Women’s Champions League Licensing

The Committee also reviewed applications for the UEFA Women's Champions League License, which allows clubs to take part in the 2022/2023 UEFA Women's Champions League, subject to sporting qualification.

All three applicants met the required criteria and were granted licenses: Urartu (Women’s Team), Hayasa, Noravank (Women’s Team).
