The ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the Vagharshapat youth football academy in Echmiadzin were held on 12th April, 2017. The president of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, presidents of UEFA and FFA Aleksander Ceferin and Ruben Hayrapetyan attended the ceremony.
FFA and UEFA have signed a message to future generations, which was placed into time capsule and laid into the foundation of the Academy by two young football players from Vagharshapat football school.
Academy consists of 3 natural and 1 artificial pitches.
