A seminar on the topic “Presentation of the analysis of the Amateur football environment” was launched at the FFA. The goal of the seminar is to advance the development of amateur football in Armenia.

At the beginning of the seminar, HFA President Armen Melikbekyan welcomed the attendees:

"Today’s discussion is very important because we are looking at grassroots football—the foundation of the sport. The development of grassroots football is the only way we can have professional football in the future. It is essential that we all remain active, ask questions, and participate in an interactive discussion. If there is any disagreement with the report, we should raise the issues. If we agree, let us try to identify the problems and propose solutions. This discussion is relevant to the entire federation and directly concerns our primary beneficiaries—children and young people. Therefore, this is one of the most important discussions, requiring everyone’s attention and active engagement. An interactive and open discussion will allow us not only to evaluate ongoing programs but also to identify real issues and solutions that will contribute to the development of grassroots football in Armenia," said the FFA President.

The seminar is led by top experts in the field: Gayoze Darsadze, FIFA Regional Technical Consultant, and Raimondas Statkevičius, Amateur football analysis manager.

"The development of amateur football is of crucial importance, as it is the foundation of the sport. In our country, approximately 99% of football players are at the amateur level, and only 0.2% are professional. Therefore, the progress of grassroots football is the main prerequisite for the success of professional clubs and the national team. We have reviewed our analyses and present a report at both global and local levels, specifically for Armenia. This is a landmark document that will shape our future strategy. It represents one of FIFA’s most important studies in recent years, made possible through effective cooperation with the HFA. I am grateful to the HFA President, Secretary General, and Technical Director for their consistent and effective work," said Gayoze Darsadze.
