Armenia–Moldova: Pre-Match Press Conference of Yeghishe Melikyan

Ahead of the friendly match between Armenia and Moldova, Armenia national team head coach Yeghishe Melikyan and midfielder Narek Grigoryan answered questions from journalists.

Melikyan noted that there is some fatigue following the previous match, but the team's morale remains high. According to the national team head coach, the friendly matches against Kazakhstan and Moldova are very important from the perspective of testing different options and players:

“I understand that we need victories, but we have a direction and goals, and in order to achieve them, experimentation is necessary. I do not need anyone’s forgiveness. I know my job and my place very well. I will never be in a position where I allow others to forgive me or not forgive me. People may choose to believe in me or not believe in me.”

 

Grigoryan, in turn, stated that he is in good form and that there are no issues with teamwork or chemistry within the squad. He added that everyone wants to delight the fans with a victory.
