Seminar meeting held with FFA club licensing officers

Licensing system 16.01.2026 17:30

On the initiative of the FFA Licensing Department, a seminar meeting was held with licensing and financial officers of candidate clubs for National, UEFA, and UEFA Women’s Champions League licenses. The seminar was conducted by Head of the FFA Licensing Department, Vahan Berakchyan.

On December 26 of last year, the annual program statement of the FFA President was published, marking the start of the licensing season. The “National” licenses to be granted to clubs during the season will serve as a basis and, in the event of sporting qualification, will grant the right to participate in the Armenian Premier League 2026/2027 championship and UEFA club competitions in the same season.

A total of 12 clubs have submitted applications to participate in the 2026/2027 licensing season, including FC Syunik, FC Sardarapat, and FC Andranik from the Armenian First League. Three clubs have submitted applications for licenses to participate in UEFA women’s club competitions.

During the seminar meeting, club representatives were introduced to the revised licensing criteria compared to the previous season. The FFA Licensing Department presented the requirements that must be met by March 2 by submitting the relevant non-financial documentation packages.

Based on these packages, on April 1 the FFA Club Licensing Committee will consider the issue of granting “National” licenses to the candidate clubs. The meeting of the FFA Club Licensing Committee regarding UEFA licenses will take place on May 1 of this year.
