HAYRAPETYAN RUBEN

FFA President

 

R. Hayrapetyan was born on 9 March, 1963, in Yerevan. From 1983 to 1985 served in the Military forces of the USSR. In 1988 graduated from Yerevan State Institute of Economics. Mr. Hayrapetyan held several responsible positions in the sphere of industry. In 1996 was elected as the head of Avan (Yerevan district) community. In 2003 was elected and later in 2007 re-elected as a member of Armenian National Assembly of Third and Fourth Convocation respectively. In 1992 founded football club Pyunik, which is the winner of 14 Armenian Premier League titles, 8 Armenian Cups and 9 Armenian Supercups.

 

In 2002 was elected and later in 2006,  2010 and 2015 re-elected as the president of FFA. At the meantime R. Hayrapetyan has been affiliated to different UEFA and FIFA committees: From 2002 to 2004 was the member of UEFA Fair Play and Ethics Committee. From 2004 to 2006 was the member of UEFA Support Programme. From 2007 to 2009 R. Hayrapetyan was the second vice-president of UEFA Youth and Amateur Committee. From 2009 to 2011 Mr. Hayrapetyan was the second vice-president of UEFA Players’ Status, Transfer and Agents and Match Agents and UEFA Youth and Amateur Committees. In 2011 was elected as the 1st vice-president of the UEFA Players’ Status, Transfer and Agents and Match Agents Committee and will hold the position until 2015. At the same time R. Hayrapetyan is also a member of FIFA Futsal Committee.

 

Is married, has got 3 children.
