“The friendly matches against Moldova are a great opportunity to test newcomers and gain the necessary form ahead of the game against Hungary” - Antonio Fernandez
The Armenia national futsal team began its training camp on September 7 at the FFA Technical Center/Football Academy. During this camp, the national team is preparing for the friendly matches against Moldova. The games will be held in Moldova on September 15 and 17.
“I think Moldova is an opponent that will help us prepare for the main qualifying round of the World Cup. We have some newcomers. We have been watching and analyzing their performances for a long time. Initially, we had invited more futsal players, but since friendly matches are ahead, the clubs had the right not to release them due to their official fixtures. A long time has passed since the national team’s last training camp. Some players have changed clubs, while others still do not have a team. Therefore, these friendly matches will help us restore our playing principles and qualities, regain the necessary form, and prepare for our first official match against Hungary,” said Armenia national futsal team head coach Antonio Fernandez.
