The inclusion of "football" subject in the school program of UEFA member countries is one of the strategic goals of UEFA. Since 2004 Football Federation of Armenia has been trying to organize demonstrative football lessons in secondary schools.

Since September 2009, "football" subject has been taught in all secondary schools Armenia in every 3rd class of physical education.

Over the past 10 years, within the framework of the educational program "Football in secondary schools", the FFA has provided secondary schools with football equipments, educational programs, has organizes various grassroot events. Inter-school football championships and tournaments were also organized.

Starting from 2019, in accordance with the requirements of UEFA, FFA has developed and presented "Football in secondary schools" new four-year educational program. The purpose of this program is to breathe new life into the teaching of the subject "football" in schools, to the concept of football as a healthy lifestyle.

"Football in secondary schools" four-year educational program has been conducted since the 2020/2021 academic year.

Before the start of the program, FFA grassroots football instructors have been qualified.

The four-year program includes:

training of physical education teachers
provision of football equipment to beneficiary schools
organization of FFA school championships in 3 age categories.

Since the beginning of the four-year program, more than 600 physical education teachers from all regions of RA have participated in retraining courses. As part of the program, more than 600 secondary schools have been provided with football equipments.
